About Neeley’s Wormwood Absinthe Verte

Neeley’s Wormwood Absinthe Verte is distilled on the only functional pre-ban French absinthe pot still in North America. This historically important still was built in France in the 1890s. Our Absinthe Verte is created from an 1871 Old World Swiss style recipe that includes eight different botanicals. This botanical recipe includes Wormwood, Fennel, and two types of Anise. Using our Eastern Kentucky family moonshine recipe as a base, creates a one-of-a-kind Kentucky style Absinthe Verte, and our coloring herbs create a natural vibrant green hue that will slightly yellow over time, a sign of true quality.

This spirit has won numerous international awards, including three consecutive double gold medals (2021, 2022, 2023), and is the only platinum medal ever awarded from the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, which is the highest honor bestowed. Lightly filtered for flavor enhancement: If you notice any sediment in your bottle, simply swirl and enjoy! The sediment is from the coloring herbs.
